Workshop for Anti Money Laundering Awareness Programme June 2013 
BenchMatrix is pleased to announce a one-day workshop on “Anti Money Laundering Awareness Programme” on 5th June, 2013. The workshop will be conducted by Mr. Kamran Shehzad, Former Deputy Governor, State Bank of Pakistan. Anti-Money Laundering (AML) has grown to significant importance for financial institutions around the globe. Non-compliance with government regulations can cause huge reputational damage and penalties, therefore banks need to create awareness regarding AML/CFT regulations among their employees.

Successful completion of a one-day workshop organized by BenchMatrix on “Prudential Regulations – A Practical Compliance Training for Bankers” held on 29th April, 2013. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Kamran Shehzad, Former Deputy Governer, State Bank of Pakistan. Prudential Regulations for Corporate and Commercial Banking are of vital importance in daily commercial banking operations.

Operational Risk Management Conference 2013
BenchMatrix organized a conference on Operational Risk Management on the platform of State Bank of Pakistan in the month of February 2013 where eminent speakers and participants from the industry gathered for the event.
State Bank brings together top industry professionals from financial industry across the Middle East in a two-day seminar which covers a wide range of topics around the new regulatory architecture, the measurement and management of operational risk, new threats to the business and the implementation of a successful operational risk framework.

Operational Risk Management Workshop
BenchMatrix Private Limited in collaboration with Institute of Business Administration is conducting a two day workshop (9-10 Feb) on Operational Risk Management. This two day workshop will provide you with the knowledge you need to review, benchmark and refine operational risk management within your organization. The course will focus on both qualitative and quantitative techniques, pro-viding integrated solutions for ORM implementation and suggesting approaches to meet Basel requirements. State Bank of Pakistan Seminar
Operational Risk is in its infancy stage in Pakistan but State Bank has starting imposing stricter regulations and banks have begun to feel the need to manage operational risks according to the market practice.
In an effort to create awareness on "Operational Risk Management" and its vast scope in the banking industry, BenchMatrix collaborated with State Bank of Pakistan in conducting a industry wide operational risk management seminar, where all the key components of this field and action plans for the future were discussed. The guest speakers were from E&Y, ABC Bahrain, SBP, and BenchMatrix. The participants included risk related staff from all the major banks in Pakistan.
Operational Risk Training Course
BenchMatrix conducted a 2-day workshop on Loss Data Module of Operational Risk. The workshop was attended by the leading banks of Pakistan. The sessions were interactive, providing training on practical methodologies and best practices. Case studies were discussed for practice purpose.
BenchMatrix concluded the event with a group activity in which the participants knowledge and learning was tested along with strengthening some of their weaker concepts. All in all, the course was a success in terms of response from the participants.
